Claira Vaughan is a choreographer, creative director, associate choreographer and mass movement director for stage, screen and large-scale events.

Claira grew up in Australia and moved back to London in 2005.

Following on from her work as mass movement director for the London 2012 Olympic ceremony, Claira co-founded the “Post Olympic Dance” group, a dance class to continue the legacy and community spirit of the London Games for the volunteers who helped to make it such an incredible event.

Claira was a part of the 2022 "Connections" festival at The National Theatre, work shopping choreography and being part of young peoples journey into musical theatre.

 

In May 2022, Claira was choreographer and assistant director to Polly Bennett for the Queens Platinum Jubilee at Windsor Castle. An event that the queen attended.

 

 In 2019 she completed her yoga teacher training and has devised a form of yoga combining yoga poses, ballet and core stability.

 

In 2018 she created “Rumour Mill”, a burlesque and cabaret show with a theatrical edge. Rumour Mill shows have wowed audiences throughout London over the past two years.

 

Claira represents Arts Ed International, travelling to Dubai & bringing musical theatre to students with limited access.

 

She has recently begun doing voluntary work as a mentor for “Industry Minds”, an organisation set up to support creatives with mental health issues.
